NORTH Vancouver

Recreation Commission
is holding an art contest
for children and youths.

The contest for a new cover
design cor the 1998 North
Vance .1.¢r summer park events
calenda: is open to North ”
Vancouver residents between
the ages of three and 17.

Artwork should be pro-
duced in brighr, bold color on
standard size paper. Park
events planners suggest the foi-
lowing themes: festivals, music
in the parks, the ocean and
forests.

The winning artist will
receive 25 copies of the calen-
dar. A profile of the artist will
be printed on the back cover
The calendar gocs to 12,000
homes in North Vancouver.

Artists should submit their
designs to the attention of the
parks events planners at the
Centennial Theatre Centre,
located across 23rd Street from
the Lonsdale recCentre.

Submissions must be
received by 4 p.m. on Friday,
May 22. Entrants should be
sure to include their name,
address, telephone number
and age on the back of their
