The eat-in-take-out diner specializes in Fish and Chips (ranging from $1.95 for one piece of cod up to $5.95 for two pieces of halibut and $7.95 for a full Seafood Platter of assorted shrimp, cod, prawns, scallops, and red snapper). But Hilda whips out ham- burgers, fish burgers and even a schnitzel or two ($2.25 up to $4.25). Give Hilda a try, but be sure to file a report with Table Hopping. The Bridgehouse Restaurant, 3650 Capilano Road, North Van- couver, 987-3388 The popular restaurant across from the popular Capilano Suspension Bridge has mothballed the selection of fondues featured in its previous menu and returned to a more traditional focus on red meat and poultry entrees. The fondues represented an in- teresting departure that recalled all those wild fondue parties folk might remember from the early 1970s, but their aitraction seemed more nostalgic than anything else. Gastronomically, they were somewhat limited. They also required more work from patrons than kitchen staff.
