NORTH SHORE St. Alice won their second game of the Van- couver Metro Senior Soccer League season Sept. 28 by beating After lan Fisher and Steve Dewar had some good chances for re the Saints early in the game, the rar team fell behind on a breakaway ao goal by W.1.S,E. Club. ' fi But the Saints kept pressure on the W.I.S.E. defence, which final- ly paid off when Lorne Loiselle scored from a corner kick. The Saints defence snuffed out further W.I.S.E. attacks with Ed Thomas and Grant Stevens having outstanding games at mid-field. The game appeared to be destin- ed for a draw, but the superior conditioning of the Saints paid off at the end of game when Dewar split the W.1.S.E. defence with a pass to Ken Powers, who made drilled a shot past the goalkeeper.
