With Canada's largest beer selection, the 150-seat Fogg N’ Suds West End location, along with its orig- inal West 4th Avenue older brother, represents a malted barley and fermented hops Louvre to the discerning beer buff. An initial visit wiil momentarily knock the wind from thirsty gullets and leave eyes wide with awe at the as- tounding variety and rousing international gusto that beer inspires. The West End Fogg N’ Suds has been open for ap- preximately seven months, moving its myriad bottles, flags, burgers and marketing dexterity into the building the for so long housed Max- ine’s and once, in a che- quered past, played host toa Vancouver bordello, Interior of the new ‘Suds | location has not changed drastically from its Maxine's days, though presumably §it has changed somewhat from its: bordello days: the high ceilings and pseudo-hacienda plaster walls ‘remain; - the front and centre bar has not moved; but now, at every angle: from ‘every corner, beers, stouts, ales, pilseners, and bocks beckon from bot- tle displays, posters, and banners.
