Teaching Fellowships, initiated in

1986 by 3M) Canada Inc. and the

Society for Teaching and Learning
in Higher Education.

Gillespie — whose mother,
Margaret, still lives in West Van-
couver — has been a member of
the agrometcorology group within
Guelph’s department of land
Tesource science since 1968, when
he earned one of the first doctoral
degrees granted by the department.

plication of meteorology,’ he said.

minimize applications of pesticides
and a study relating the presence
of rain and dew (to the severity of
ozone damage to plants.
