Increase bad dog owner fines

Dear Editor:

I would like to commend citizen Greg Goldring and the
July 24 editorial in the News for daring to speak our against
thoughtless dog owners, It's time to reclaim our beaches,
parks and sidewalks from those who knowingly flaunt our
weak bylaws.

We need.to put pressure on our municipal councils to
increase, enforcement of the bylaws. The first step is to
increase fines to a level that will catch the attention of those
who “didn’t see” the posted signs.
