Founding La Cucina
member Tiberio Faedo, him-
self a prominent local restau-
rateur, is teaming up with
another member of the —
prominent focal restaurateur
club: Antonio Corsi. .

For fans of the North
Shore dining scene, it's an -

" unusuul alliance.

How so?
Corsi and Faedo have,
after all, known each other

. for almost 20 years. They

met at the Park Royal Hotel,
training ground for many of
the North Shcre’s better
restaurant owners and staff.
Tiberio went on to West

‘ Vancouver's Cafe des Alpes

before launching the elegant
La Cucina in tate 1979.

helped set the standard for
quality Itilian food on the

North Shore. First with Corsi

Trattoria at the foot of

Lonsdate and then with Cafe

Roma on Esplanade.
- Roma has since evolved
into the sophisticated

All three restaurants were

Mario Corsi and silent part-

ner Ori Holubitsky.

The Corsi connection was
