Gunman
hits NV

restaurant

EMPLOYEES OF the White Spot
restaurant at) Park and ‘Tillord
Centre were put into cold storage
on Saturday during an armed rob-
bery.

A musked robber netted about
$8,000 in a holdup that took about
10 minutes to complete.

According to a North Vancouver
RCMP spokesman, four of five
employees were herded into the
restaurant's cold storage locker at
6:30 p.m. by a handgun-wielding
robber. The day shift manager was
left outside to open the safe.

The manager was later pad-
locked in the locker with the rest of
the employees.

The suspect is described us
being 1.7 m (5°7"), 54-68 kg (120 -
150 Ibs), with collar-length dark
brown hair and a pale complexion.

He was wearing a blue and grey
plaid tumberjack shir, blue ‘jeans
and a baseball cap. ;

Police say the suspect appeared
to be carrying a radio scanner on his
hip.
