Putting 929-9236. Frankenstein together DIRECTOR JIM Hebb is up to his elbows in eyeballs, brains and other organs preparing for Deep Cove Stage’s fa!l production of Frankenstein. A focal artist and wig-maker for fiim and TV, the Frankenstein set first came to life on Hebb’s computer. From there, the elaborate stag- ing (including a spiral staircase) was assembled in back yards and basements by more than 14 helpers. “The set is just incredible,’’ says publicist Joan Athey. Based on Mary Shelley's classic, the Frankenstein cast includes David James as Victor Von Frankenstein, Shanda Waiters, Vern Kennedy, Bill Tolson and Mark Gefstrom, wino piays the nameiess creature. The play opens tonight at the Deep Cove Culturai Centre and runs until Oct. 31. Tax receipts will be issued tor the full purchase price. Donors will also see their names in lights on an exhibit inside Science World which will be a replica of the building's globe. Your light will be seen by thou- sands of visitors who come to the centre every day. As a bulb pur- chaser, you will also be invited to attend a high-powered event at which the globe exhibit will be unveiled. This annual campaign will benefit Science World’s educa- tional programs, which promote learning about science in informal and entertaining ways.
