The litde lady who . has been a North Vancouver resident for 62 years and lived through the reigns of seven British monarchs was honored on her recent 100th birthday al ‘a reception attended by almost 200 puesls. . They included North Van Cuy Mayor Jack Loucks, Mayor Don Ross of Surrey (where the ‘reception was held at her family’s home) and two RCMP officers in their scarlet uniforms who read her the telegram from the Queen and the letler trom the Prime Minister. They also presented Mrs. Norton with a pin and made her an honorary member of the RCMP. Born in Westham, Lon- don, England September 25. 1882, Mrs. Norton came to Canada in 1910, living successively on West 25th, on Drayton and now at her present home on East 3rd -- all in North Van.
