advanced polling hours

West Vancouver municip-
al voters will have more time

The south mall of Park
Royal shopping centre was
evacuated for almost three-
quarters of an hour Wed-
nesday after a bomb threat
was received by West
Vancouver police.

A West Vancouver Police
spokesman said that at 11:24
a.m. a man Called the police
to say that a bomb would be
going off at Park Royal
South.

An exact time for the
explosion was specified, he
said.

A stolen Honda Civic was
extensively stripped of major
components and_ then
abandoned by the highway
in West Vancouver where it
was set on fire Monday
night.

West Vancouver  Fire-
fighters found the car
blazing when they were
called to the eastbound ramp
on the Westmount inter-
change at the Trans Canada
Highway.

The 1975 Civic had been
stolen from Pitt Meadows
August 3! and had been
stripped of its engine, seats
and stearing before being set
on fire. The car was com-
pletely destroyed.
