During the next few months, | will be doing a reg- _ular calendar of events that celebrate the achievements of seniors and, especially, those that encourage intergenera- tional activities. ‘Here are a few examples of — good ways to bring older and younger people together: At the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre, an’ ongoing program uses the tal- ents of senior woodworkers who, for the past three years, : have’ helped Brownies, Sparks and Girl Guides to make bird feeders and pencil holders with materials donated by Tyee Lumber Products of Langley. When they have completed their tasks, cach girl receives a “certificate of competence in woodworking and a personal- ized pencil holder.
