Ease-of-use controls fall readily to hand from the solid feeling four-spoke telescoping steering wheel to the electronically-con- trolled, four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. The shift lever has been reshaped to fit the hand naturally and snugly. Steer- ing wheel adjustment is effected by a one lever tilt control. Electronically operated cruise control is activated using a single easy-to-use stalk, to the right of the steering column. For greater convenience, high use switches and important con- trois have been placed in the most convenient locations while less frequently used controls are not in the way. Important switches which may require checking from time to time can be seen by line of vision change only, rather than turning of the head. The number of switches has been reduced by operating multiple functions using a single switch as in the case of the exterior mirror and rear window defoggers. Now easier to operate switches and switches that are easier on the eyes, in either day or night operation, all contribute to Cressida’s ultimate driving experience.
