Sea Festival kicks off

THE 25TH annual Vancouver Sea
Festival kicks off today, starting
five days of nautically oriented fun
for the entire family that runs
through to July #7.

The popular Sea Festival
fireworks are stated for 10 p.m.
this evening (July 13) at English
Bay, following a day of boat
shows, demonstrations and races.

A new event this year is a Family
Carnival Day the afternoon of July
16.

Held at the Piaza of Nations,
the day will be filled with activities
for children that will include a pet-
ting zoo, merry-go-round, Fashion
show, dunk tank, face painting,
puppet show, clown Gumboot
Lollipop, balloon artist and jug-
gler.

Day-lene parking will be
available on selected nearby lots
for $1. and people can take a shut-
tle bus to and from tbe Plaza of
Nations event site.

A full calendar of events is
available at Safeway stores, Shop-
pers Drug Mans, British Columbia
Automobile Association — offices
and Travel Info Centres.
