Applications are invited for the position of Waterworks Superintendent,
to be responsible for all aspects of waterworks installation, operation and

maintenance.

West Vancouver is a residential community with 37,000 people. It draws
waier from a Regional system but also has its own surface water sources.
It has a complex system with many pressure zcnes, storage tanks, pumps
and pressure reducers.
Candidates should have technical training, preferably with the equivalent
of Technician Certificate from a recognised school or other public institu-
tion and have a minimum of five years experience in supervision of water-
works operation. They should have a theoretical understanding of
hydraulics and thorough practical knowledge of waterworks equipment
and controls. They should have demonstrated ability to schedule work
and effectively supervise work crews, good communications skills and
excellent public relations abilities.

Salary range: (1987) $3,240.00 - $3,386.00 - $3,563.00
