Stephen Wyse placed second in the men’s slalom with a time of 1:42:53 in two runs, nine one- hundredths of a second behind winner Gary Walthers from Kelowna. Third place went to Vernon's Brent Ree who posted a 1:43:04 final time, : Wyse registered the top time for . a second run with 48:68. Revelstoke’s Kimberle McKnight won the women’s event with a two-run total of 1:48:06. Kelowna’s Alesha Cline finished second, and Denise Fitchett from Revelstoke finished third. Skiers in the two events will travel to Nelson, B.C. for the B.C. Cup’s’ Giant Slalom competition being held Feb. 21 and 22.
