If you hear the screech of tires and the tinkle of tail lights on the pavement over the holiday season — take heart! All . you have to do is go to the nearest phone and ring up Crash Pad for your ICBC insured repairs, and you could win $1000 worth of restoration and repair work, compliments of us. We would love to be able to give away the car pictured above; a 1948 Oldsmobile Futuramic 98, a collectible land- mark of postwar styling. (Unfortunately, it’s not ours.) Do you have an antique or collectible car in your life? That is a hard question to answer, especially in this province. BCAA Classifies a 15 year old vehicle as “vintage”, and a 20 year old as antique. Customs Canada will, not collect duty on a vehicle 25 years or older, and the Motor Vehicle Branch calls it at 30 years. Still, if you have a deep and abiding love for your 1971 Datsun, there is nothing to stop you from sinking $1,000 worth of restoration work into it - it means just as much to you as a 1935 Caddy would to someone else. Ww e a We are open during the holidays, from Tuesday on, 7 AM to 6 PM, so we can fix your car while you are away over Christmas. We're a whole lotta body shop. Crash Pad Collision 1315 Cotton Dr. (across from Park & Tilford) 980-4581 and/or repairs Whatever the car you drive, remember, please, that even if you come in to have a single rust spot removed, or a piece of chrome replaced, if you do it by January 31st, 1983, you are eligible to win. And. you will be required to use your prize by July 1, 1983. That should give you ample time to decide what . you want done. Even if you don’t want something fixed, drop in anyway — we love to drink coffee and talk cars .... it is our business after all. And please don’t make yourself eligible by careless driving — if you want to enter that bad, come and talk to me. Drive extra-careful through the holiday season, and we'll see you in 1983.
