An inquest was held last week at North Vancouver Provincial Court and a verdict was handed down Wednesday by the five- member jury. The jury said Morris was killed when he was hit by a tree felled by an employce of the GVRD. The jury made several recommendations con- cerned with safety, based on the incident. They recommended “that the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) and Workers’ Compensation Board upgrade their safety programs with specific emphasis on the tree felling operations in the water-shed areas.
