And although vou should be thinking about traffic safety every day, today is a special reminder that both drivers and pedestrians need to take ware out there: ICBC, along with a coalition of North Shore Community Partners, is sponsoring Safety On Our Streets on the North Shore. The program is aimed at parents and the 15,000 students between the ages of five and 12 vears old that attend elementary schoo! on ihe North Shore. In anticipation of the day, [CBC and its Partners created pedestrian awareness informa- tion packages which were sent home to parents for discussion. “These information packages given to North Shore elementary students are meant to educate both students ‘and Parents on the importance of pedestrian _ safety.
