Residents help police catch burglary suspects

NORTH Vancouver
Mounties are crediting
the efforts of two
homeowners in foiling
burglars in unrelated
incidents earlier this
month,

On Dec. 1, a Deep Cove
resident came home in the

early afternoon to find her
house broken into.

The woman heard sounds
suggesting a burglar was stiil
in the house.

The homeowner went to
a neighbour’s house on
Lockout Point and called
police.

Mounties surrounded the
house.

Police say the burglar is
an -18-year-old = North
Vancouver man “well known
to police” with a criminal
record from 1995 to 1998.

On Dee. 2, a Lynn Valley
resident had just got out of
the shower when she heard
glass breaking on a Jower
floor of her home.

The resident saw a vehicle
in her driveway she didn’t

plates were stolen in separate’

The car was from
Kelowna and the plates from
Vancouver.

Burglary charges were
recommended against both
suspects.
