Pattenaude said the RSD, which can last up to five years, causes severe burning in his leg. - Surgeons also discovered signs of osteoporosis in Pattenaude's knee during his — a rare condition last operation, and realized his wounds were not healing prope: “Pm ina catch- sul pu t could spread. If I don’t, T could end up losing mv knee anyway, because it’s deteriorating.” If Pattenaude’s — next surgery doesn’: work, doctors might need to cemove his knee entirely and replace it wich a titanium bar. Pattenaude doesn't blame the hospital for any of his woes —he said they “did absolutely everything, correct- ly.” But he still hasn’t beard from the couple who struck him, and ICBC has stopped paying his bills. “it would be really helpful for me if that couple or any witnesses would come for- ward,” said Pattenaude, who is now confined to his house, unable even to participate in physiotherapy sessiot “It’s just amazing how such a little thing can change your lite. “I was at the top of my career —~ I was number one in B.C. for sales.
