Caring for an aging parent
is often a great cause of
stress in the family. The
problems associated with
caring for elderly parents or
relatives are usually dealt
with by women, who are in
their middle years.

It is imteresting to note
that the concerns of the
elderly, namely anxiety and
depression, are similar to the
feelings that many women in

the late middle-years are
beginning to experience.
Most of us try to talk
people out of depression —
or we
exasperation when exposed
to an elderly relative who is
stubborn, irritating, or
impossible to please.
Eventually we may turn our
back on the difficult person
and then suffer enormous
guilt when they are gone.
