Eleanor Malkin will be invested into the Order of British Columbia in a ceremony at Government House on June 13. Rosalind MacPhee, who passed away May 3 (please see story on page |! of today’s News), was also named as a recipient of the award. Malkin is respected as a volunteer. She SIWASH (Society for the Welfare of the Arts, Sciences and Health) in 1964. ht was later renamed the Endeavour Society. The society has raised close to $7 million over the past 30 years. The money has been distributed to 76 beneficiaries throughout the Lower Mainland. Malkin is no longer directly involved in the society.
