OATMEAL COOKIES are loved by Canadians (just behind chocolate, in fact), and are the descen-
.dants of British oat cakes, still a national favorite on that side of the Atlantic.

Beat at medium speed of electric

mixer until well blended.
Combine oats, flour, baking

soda, salt and cinnamon. Add grad-

ually'to creamed mixture at low”
speed and mix until blended. Stir in
raisin and nuts with spoon. Drop
rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2
inches apart onto greased baking ~
