Here at the centre we've had to do some cre-
ative planning to respond to public fitness and
health needs because of the lack of facilities in
this community. Alchough city council is plan-
ning new recreation facilities, the demand is
heavy now, and without the appropriate facilities
in West Vancouver, we were losing fitness cus-
tomers.

Following a North American trend, there has
been a tremendous shift in our fitness services in
the last four years. People are moving from the
