afternoon nature program,
‘Spore Lore,’’ ia the rain
forests of Capilano River
Regional Park.

ralists on a stroll along park trails

to learn why the Pacific northwest
is home to an abundance of
mushrooms.

Explore around trunks and
stumps to get a close-up look at
pale, translucent Angelwings, the
jeily-like Witch’s Butter, and
brilliant orange and yellow
Chicken of the Woods.

All ages are welcome. Children
will enjoy touching and sniffing
mushrooms, and peeking under

their fragile gills with tiny mirrozs.

“Spore Lore’’ is sponsored by
the Greater Vancouver Regional
Liatrict (GVRD). The program fee
is $3 per person.

quired. To register with Visa/

4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
