Linda Reynard played well in her first game in goal for the novice team, while Shannon Mor- rison led the scoring with four goals and both Susan Spruston and Regan Walker added hat tricks. The team won its second game in a row, when it defeated Burnaby 9-3 Jan. 18. All the girls played well, but Ali Landuci and Andrea Johnson worked exceptionally hard to con- tribute to the team’s win. On the same day, the NSWC _Tween ‘BY’? team lost 4-1 to. undefeated Howe Sound. Also on Sunday, NSWC Jr. Belle ‘‘A’s’’ slipped by PoCo Jr. Belles 3-2. The Moore rink had finished the Jan. 29 to Feb. 4 round-robin tournament tied with Sanders with a 7-2 record, Moore, the 1985 worid women’s * Free Membership curling champion, advanced to the playoff with a 5-4 victory over Kelowna’s Marion Radcliffe, who had entered the final draw tied wth Moore and Sanders at 6-2. The championship was played in Fort Nelson.
