Eight-year-old, while playing in the cockpit, turned on the spotlight, and such was the general sun- shine level that we never noticed until one of the batteries was as flat as butter on a plate and another battery quite low in charge. It’s hard to get a jump start when you're boating (joke!), and for the rest of the day we watched him more closely. I took ‘advantage of the relatively calm run to go cooking. The sandwiches were so-so, but the turkey soup that emerged from the carcass was a big success. It was really quite tranquil aboard; the headache victim. was asleep and the boat steady and stable downwind at three or four knots. An hour and a half later we were at the other end of the sound, the soup was starting - to smell good, the headache victim awoke and it was time for us to turn and tack back up to the resort. A TREAT Tacking back up to Rosario was a treat. The water was blue-green and the surroundings very pretty. The low hills all around were dotted with many houses, But it really was an ac- cident, and once eight-year- old knew the consequences of playing with the switches some quite large and he concentrated quite elaborate.
