CHRETIEN REVEALS REAL THOUGHTS ON CANADA

This week Jean Chrétien finally revealed his thoughts on Western
Canada and his view of where it stands in the scheme of things.

The Prime Minister told Canadians on Wednesday evening he
- didn’t like dealing with politicians from Alberta, saying he likes to
de politics with people from the east. With his Freudian slip, one
can assume he includes British Columbia and British Columbia
Opposition MP's in that lot as well.

"What a pejorative, offensive, derogatory and insulting slight on
Western Canada! He not only insulted Opposition MP's, he also
insulted his own cabinet minister David Anderson and his Liberal

MP colleagues from BC!

‘Mr. Chrétien may wish to balkanize and divide Canada into
most-favoured and least-favoured zones. Toronto gets a $500
million convention centre, his own riding Shawinigan gets millions

for questionable projects like fountains and golf courses, while BC
goes wanting for a convention centre and real improvements to
the Lions Gate Bridge, transit sysiem, the Sea-to-Sky. Highway,
funding for the RCMP and health care.

This is divisive politics and not the kind of Canada the Canadian
Alliance subscribes to. |

On election day Monday, Canadians who favour a united
Canada, where opportunity exists for all and where every region
is treated equally should send a message to this divisive Prime
Minister and tell him and his Liberal candidates they do not want
any part of this favouritism. Tell him you are tired of this foiled and
flawed Liberal pclicy..
