Intruders bind West Van man A 25-year-old West Vancouver resident was confronted at gunpoint by two intruders on Christmas Eve in an upper British Properties home. The intruders bound the man and covered his head, according to a West Vancouver Police spokesman. Police say the man was abie to free himself and phone police. The resident was not seriously injured in the inci- dent, said the West Vancouver Police Ne Police did not get descriptions of the intrud- ers. From Dec. 24 to Dec. 30, the North Vancouver Mounties responded to 17 car accidents. Eight people were injured in the crashes, according to police. _A North Vancouver Mountie spokesman said none of the injuries were scrious. In West Vancouver, police were called to 10 car accidents between Dec. 28 and Dec. 30. Ramsay said that residents in the townhome heard pop- ping noises at approximately 10:30 p.m. so a girl went te her bedroom to see what was causing the noise. When she got to her room, she saw her bedroom on fire. The faunily notified other townhome residents and the fire department.
