MAILBOX News served public well Dear Editor: On behalf of the Boundary Ratepayers and the other members of our delegation, thank you and your siaff for the fair and equitable coverage of our pres- entation to the District of North Vancouver council on Dec. 4. Your article in the Dec. 8 issue, Delegation opposes golf course scheme by Martin Millerchip, con- cisely and accurately represented our collective position on the Nor- thlands Community Plan. Our support for an inter-river site per se was conditional on sev- eral other parameters being met. The previous article by Michael Becker on the Northlands issue was also appreciated. Your reporters have, in cur opi- nion, done the public a great ser- vice by presenting a viewpoint other than that expressed previous- ly by the North Shore Public Golf Course Society. The informed public can now assess the issue on its own merits and that is good journalism. In a previous letter that you published, I was somewhat critical of the lack of coverage by the North Shore News on this issue to that point in time. The Boundary Ratepayers are pleased that you chose to publish this letter; it has helped to rectify the situation. The public has been well and fairly served to date by your news- paper on this issue. Keep up the good work.
