Sulphur train caught fire

SULPHUR cargoes of five
railcars heading for Van-
couver Wharves caught fire
Tuesday evening.

It is believed the fires were
started by a shower of sparks
from a passing locomotive.

The five open gondola
style cars were part of a
sulphur train of about 80
cars owned by Sultran and
were separated from the rest
of the train when the fires
were spotted.
