Ecological events planned for fall ECOLOGICAL EVENTS for both children and adults are planned at the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre for the months to come. Tomcrrow, Sept. 26. is Bugs, Bugs, Bugs — a hands-on activities program abou: insects for preschoolers, The class runs from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Please register. On Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., kids aged eight to 12 can transfer nature sketches on to a T-shirt. Please preregister. Donna Tursell from the GVRD will be on hand from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 to give a fun presentation on recycling for the whole family. The next day, on Oct. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m., on-going paper recycling demonstrations will be held and children wil! be able to take home fresh paper. A wildlife field trip to the Reifel Bird Sanctuary is slated for Sun- day, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants are asked to preregister and provide their own transportation. Preschoolers and parents can learn ail about squirrels at a 10:30 to 11:30 class being held Monday, Oct. 10. Please preregister. The After School Art program for 8 to 12 year olds on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. will focus on autumn colors. There is a supply fee of $1, and participants are asked to preregister. Tots and parents will make a bird feeder and look at birds’ nests from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Mon- day, Oct. 24. There is a $1 supply cost. Just in time for Halloween, an Animal Face Painting class will be held for eight to 12 year olds from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
