FIZE - Captain Stan, passed peace-
tulty September 21, 1996 in Powel
River, after a courageous battle with
cancer. Born April 20, 1928, he
seced in WWI with the Canadian
Merchant Navy, rng on to varios
positions on the 8.C. coast, finally
tetiring from B.C. Ferties in 1990 as
a Senior Captain. He served his
community, holding otfices in the
Elks, the Lions and the Royal Cana-
dian Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife
Phyllis: sons, Al (Jean) and {an
(lynne); sisters, Fran (Joe) McKenzie
and Glady Haines; brothers, Bill
(Byrnie) and Gave (Anne). and
andchildren, Paul, Eric, Jennifer,
instine and Jacqueline.
Memorial service to celebrate Stan's
life is to be held at the Toxada
Island Legion Branch 232, Vananda,
British Columbia, October Sth at 2
