Dear Editor:

T am writing this the day
after a young boy crossing
Mountain Highway was hit
by a car.

Luckily for the child, he
will be fine and luckily for the
driver he was obcying the
speed limit and the cross-walk
signs,

However, as a parent of
two children in Lynn Valley

school, I decided’ 1 would,
along with others, stand at
the crosswalk and hopefiully
"make some people take notice
and wonder why we werz
standing there.

passed our crosswalk — 36 of
those cars did not slow down
to the posted speed limit.

Out of those 36 speeding
cars, 16 did not stop for
