Saturday, July 9, 150 runners from
around the world will put their best
feet forward in Canada’s largest
trail-ultra running event — the
Knee-Knackering North Shore
Trail Run.

The aptly named endurance
race, covering 48.6 grucHing kilo-
metres (an equally exhausting 30
miles) of the Baden-Powell trail,
has grown from its informal origins
to a must-do for many North

positions were filled just six days
after registration opened in
February.

The Northshore Ultra Trailrun-
ning Society (NUTS), an informal
vroup of running nuts, meet
Wednesdays at 5:45 p.m. and
Sundays at 8 a.m. at Cleveland
Dam tn North Vancouver for
endurance race training.
