Ald. Stella Jo Dean presented a
motion to council recently instruc-
ting the city engineer to pul a
four-way stop at 23rd Street and
St. Georges Avenue, ban trucks
and put a 30 km/h speed limit be-
tween Lonsdale and the 2000 block
of Grand Boulevard, and study the
traffic at 19th Street and Lonsdale
Avenue.

pending a report on the effect of
downgrading traffic on Grand
Boulevard or other main arteries.

on one leg of a traffic system the
traffic goes to another leg,’’ said

following the recent announcement
of finalists for the Canada Awards
