REGATTA AT HOLLYBURN

Sail into Canada Day

THE HOLLYBURN Sailing Club
is celebrating Canada Day with a
regatta,

The regatta, which is open to
the public consists of the trophy
race for dinghies and sailboards, a
series of fun races, and a birthday
party at the HSC clubhouse, where
awards and prizes will be presented.

The trophy race provides ex-
citement and fun for both contes-
tants and spectators, as it follows a
slalom course along the West Van-
couver shoreline between Dun-
darave Pier and the start/finish
line at John Lawson Park.

Interested parties can register on
Canada Day at HSC clubhouse,

1326 Argyle Strect at 10:30 a.m.

The skippers’ meeting is being
held at 11 a.m. with opening cer-
emony and start of trophy race
going at John Lawson Pier at
noon,

The birthday party and pres-
entation of awards are at the HSC
clubhouse at 3:30 p.m.

Richmond Municipal Hall flag pole. North Van won the Participac-
tion Challenge fought between the two municipalities, last month.
