The ceremony marks the start of construction for the four- storey building for WTC Western Technologies Cor- poration. The building is go- ing up at Ist and Semisch and will be ready for spring, 1986. A reunion luncheon recently marked the finale of Fitness West. A pioneer in its time, Fitness West was an exercise class in West Vancouver that began in 1977. The program was launched by Eva Gaarder, Chris Gould, Naomi Miller and Elisabeth McColl, all of whom ob- tained their fitness training through the West Vancouver Recreation Centre. The four women are now moving on to other business endeavours. A 150,000 gallon reinforced concrete water tank is replacing an existing wood tank in West Vancouver. The GVRD has agreed to lease .45 acres to the municipality of West Van for the tank.
