NAMES FOR new North
Vancouver City streets have
been decided upon by City
Council. .

Located in the future
Tempe Heights subdivision,

the additional streets will in-
clude Tempe Heights Lane,
Tempe Glen Drive, Tempe
Knoll Drive, Wilding Way,
Vinedale Place, 26th Cres-
cent and Munday Place.

Ald Ralph Hall made the
motion Monday to approve
the names forwarded by com-

mittee. He went on to explain
that Wilding Way was named
for the man who once owned
much of the Tempe Heights
property, and that Munday
Place was created to honor

Mrs. Phyllis Munday, a
mountain chmber and. ex-
plorer who still lives at 373

Tempe Crescent.

Mrs. Munday has been so
honored,’’ commented Ald.
Stella Jo Dean, recounting
her involvement with = the
woman who at one time was
a local Girl Guide
commissioner.

Ald. Hall also thanked
members of the public for
contributing suggestions tor
street names to the naming

committee. Two of the sug-
gestions were used that were
made by Jim Diana, a Sun-
shine Cabs partner.

The new street names will
be included in the plan of the
subdivision to be registered
with the Land Titles Office.
