Council voted Monday to reject a staff recom- mendation to rezone a piece of property there from C5 (recreation) to RH2 (high density residential) — a rezoning that would have allowed construction of a 36 unit apartment building. Instead, District staff will look into purchasing the land from Nagel Realty so it could be preserved for park or recreational] land. Mayor Don Bell called the land “one of the last pieces of greenery” in Lynn Valley.
