Last month, in their final act before adjourning until September, senators voted to increase their expense allowance by $6,000 to help pay for out-of-town ex- penses. This was in addition to their. existing $10,100 expense allowance and $64,400 salary. However, due to the outrage that followed — from both taxpayers and PRO ASRS: (AOS Ser a TE RS ROAR political leaders — the Senate was recalled for a special session to reconsider its decision. Tomorrow senators will return from summer vacation to vote on rescinding the $6,000 increase. It is almost certain that the decision will be reversed, but mot without a price: tomorrow's .
