Sheila Maude Jones Voluntary Community and Humanitarian “- Service. Along with Sheila Gimour, Jones is a driving force behind the Lionsview Seniors Planning Society, enabling older North Shore residents to par- ticipate in decisions that affect their health and independence. Elizabeth Petticrew Management, the Professions and Trades. Petticrew is a sales manager at Nesbitt Burns, and ts an exceptional achiever in a second career as one of the company’s top producers. She is committed to promoting profession- alism in the investment industry. — Deana Lancaster ge Gabbott Voluntary Community and Humanitarian Service. Gabbott is committed to palliative care and to supporting persons with AIDS/HIV. Sarah Morgan-Silvester Management, the Professions and Trades. Morgan-Slivester is the senior vice-president, marketing, and ombudsperson for the Hong Kong Bank of Canada. She introduced significant change under chalfenging cir- cumstances,providing vision, leadership and technicai skills. Voluntary Community and Humanitarian Service. Hess is the president of the 1997 8.C. Summer Games. She has an extensive record of community leadership and invoive- ment at the forefront of numerous cultural and social projects. Lynn Hill Education, Training and Development. hill is an instructor and program coordinator at the Open Learning Agency. She designed, planned and developed curriculum for the access ability program, an intensive training course for peo- ple with disabllities. Joyte Jones — Voluntary Community and Humanitarian Service. Jones is the president of the 411 Seniors Society, and co-founder and first chair of the Greater Vancouver Seniors Coalition Social. She Is active in the United Church, serving on most major governing bodies, she is also a social justice advocate and an effective motivator of people, groups and movements. Suzanne Montemuro Health and Wellness. Montemuro is a family physician and a recog- nized expert on menopzuse. She is extremoly active in com- munity education pro- grams, raising aware- ness in the area of women’s health, includ- ing breast cancer and ostecporosis. Ann Sturrock Voluntary Community and Humanitarian Service. Sturrock is a community bulider and agent for change through volunteerism. She is the driving force behind Camp Gooctimes, a sun mer cemp for children with cancer; Leadership Vancouver; and the B.C. Research institute for Child and Family Health. Prudence Moore Voluntary Community and Humanitarian Service. A community activist, environmental and peace educator, Moore Is dedicated to making our community and the world safer and more sustainable. Mcore was a co- founder of 20/20 Vision of B.C. Marsha Walden Voiuntary Community and Humanitarian Service. Walden is the past president of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of 8.C. and Yukon. She helped develop the Heartsmart Kids program, an internet site and three Heartsmart Chinese cookbooks.
