General In- surance Industry. Suri BUSINESS BRIEFS Glavin, the former B.C. branch manager of the Dominion of Canada General Insurance Co., 68, currently works as a chartered arbitrator for commercial and general insurance arbitrations in Vancouver. He was born in Ottawa in 1924 and began working for the Dom- inion . of Canada General in- surance Co. in 1956 before being transferred to the company’s Winnipeg office as branch super- visor and later manager. Glavin was transferred to the company’s B.C. operations in 1954 and became branch manager in 1956. He married wife Elizabeth at the age of 33: and raised a family in North Van- couver. Glavin ‘sat for five years as a member of the North Shore Rec- reation Committee and is current- ly a director of the Lionsview Seniors’ Planning Society in North Vancouver, as well as a member of the Highlands United Church congregation in North Vancouver.
