Joy Metcaife telis ail ... The Restaurant and Food Ser- vices Association of British Col- umbia will be the official sponsors, as Frank was an honorary life member of the Vancouver branch. The association will donate seed money for an endowment fund of $5,000 and they’re asking other restaurant owners, Frank’s friends and the general public, to send their donations to “The Frank Baker Memorial Fund.”’ The recipients of this annual scholarship, which will be worth $500, will be graduates of the Food and Beverage Management Pro- gram at Vancouver Community College. The scholarship should be able to be presented to some de- serving student by September of 1991... ker Special guest in North Van earlier this week was the leading television and movie man himself, the gentleman who put the entire North Shore Film Studio deal together, Steven J. Cannell. He was here for a private party for the producers, the directors and the stars of the popular TV series, ‘‘WiseGuy,’’ at Le Meridien Hotel on Monday evening. The previous night it had been a black-tie wrap party to celebrate the end of the ‘‘WiseGuy’”’ shooting season with 350 guests, including North Van's super- talented entertainer and series’ co-star, Jim Byrnes.
