Set for the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, this year’s ball features an evening of dining and dancing. Breakfast with TICKETS ARE going fast for the second annual winter ball hosted by the North Shore Family Ser- vices Society, so people are urged to buy theirs soon, “‘Last year we had around 400 people attend,’’ explained organiz- ing committee member Norma Hamilton. ‘‘Tickets this year are going fast.’’ Held at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre at the Pan Pacific Hotel, the ball will feature an evening of old-style dining and dancing for the whole family. “It’s the families we want,’ Hamilton said of the Dec. 20 ball. “We want the parents to bring the kids —- the kids really enjoyed it last year.’’ Tickets are $45 per person, and proceeds from the ball go to assist the North Shore Family Services Society with its work in family counselling, volunteer services, education programs, self-help groups and family drop-in centres, For tickets or more information, call the North Shore Family Ser- vices Society at 988-5281.
