A NORTH Vancouver man is recovering from a

‘gunshot wound to his lung after being shot for no
apparent reason while vacationing in Mexico last

month.

Mark..Heyrman, 24, told
the North Shore News that
at the time of the shooting,
he had been walking with
five other friends from their
downtown hotel in Cabo San
Lucas to a small nightclub
located about two blocks
away.

After walking only one
block in the direction of the
nightclub on the main street
of the town, Heyrman said a
white pickup truck pulled up
and two men ‘‘nervously
jumped out’? and pointed
guns at the heads of the six
men.

‘They didn't produce any
badges. Uhey grabbed our
wallets and even though |!
didn't have any money th my
wallet, a couple of guys had
money taken from theirs If
they plarnclothes

He said one of the men
tried to force him into the
truck, hitting him and put-
ting a strangehold on him tn

were unable to aid him since
