Speakers scheduled are Penny Coates, director of day care at Simon Fraser University, and Lois Rennie, the coordinator of Capilano College’s early childhood education department. Artene Gladstone, the executive director of North Shore Family Services, will be the forum’s chairman. The second forum is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Lons- dale recreation centre. Both of the forums have been organized by the district’s social planning department in conjunction with a district-wide survey to help it gauge the seriousness of the current child-care crisis.
