Local teams qualify for coastal soccer finals

EIGHT NORTH Shore teams have
qualified for B.C. Youth Soccer’s
coastal finals - the Safeway Tour-
nament of Champions — at
Swangard Stadium over the next
two weekends.

In the cight years since both
boys and girls have been involved,
the, North Shore has never had so
many teams reach the final.

The girls play this weekend. On
Saturday at ? a.m. North Shore
Amazons meet Coquitiam United
‘in the under-!f division seven
final, and a 1 p.m. North Shore
' Stingers face Cff Avenue United
in the under-13 division five title
match.

On Sunday at Il a.m. North
Skore Metros and Kervisdale Ex-
press collide in. under-16 division
two, and at'I p.m. North Skore
' Highlanders and Coqzitiam United
go at it in under-18 division one.
