The GVRD 1s requesting that all municipalities in- crease their parks allocated tax revenue by $1 per capita to about $3.40 over a five- year period to allow for thé upgrading of existing parkland the creation of new public facilities. Of particular interest to North Shore residents is the proposed opening up of the Lynn-Seymour, 9,000 hectare park and recreation area. In addition to recreational benefits to be gained by such a move, the GVRD also con- siders the Lynn-Seymour plan ‘‘ideal’’ as a job crea- tion project.
